I experienced the best feeling of my life at the age of 16 in Hunter's auditorium--not my first date, not my prom, not my first kiss can compare with the thrill of creating something and watching it unfold on a stage. As Senior Show Chairman, I was responsible for making sure the show got written. With the help of some brilliant lines and ideas from Andy Bachrach, the show was completed at the last minute or as Ms. Balf would say "by the skin of my teeth" Sadly, I had a necessary part time job that precluded my attending rehearsals and then a miracle--I got fired a week before the show and left work in time to see most of the dress rehearsal.---what a feeling it was to see my words and parodies come alive on the stage!!! I stood in the back of that auditorium transfixed by how Karen Roubicek swung six bats as the Mad Batter, how sinister Doris Abrahams was as Captain Hoopes and what a wonderful Motown group we nurtured in "The Superbs"

Peter Peck/Never Cleverland wasn't quite as popular as Hamilton and I did not become a forerunner of Lin-Manuel Miranda, but the feeling that 16 year old had standing in the back of that auditorium was worth as much as box office millions.
