Graduated Barnard '71 and, not knowing what to do with myself get a Masters from Columbia '72. worked a few odd jobs when Med school seemed like a good idea, so after 2 years at Columbia school of general studies doing pre-med entered class of 79 at P&S. Afterwards residency in Anesthesia and 13 years attending at New York Hospital - Cornell. Moved to B'klyn Heights, married a Mainer in '89, moved to Maine (Portland area) in '93 with 2 babies (and husband) and lived on the ocean where we clammed in the front yard. Nice change and great place to raise kids Emma is now 26 and works as an accountant at Ropes and Gray in Boston and Johnny (age 25) works for his alma mater Suffolk U. in Boston. So with an empty nest and very high taxes, we downsized in Jan. and now rent a small condo in the happening center of Portland Maine. Back to city living, but I mourn the loss of my home, possessions (had to get rid of a lot of stuff), and proximity to nature. Building vacation/retirement home in Castine Maine. After 35 years of full time work as an anesthesiologist including frequent call on nights, weekends and holidays, I am now in a retirement tract and working much less. Looking forward to seeing many of you at reunion. Terry |
