After many years working in human services planning, I completed my MLS in 2002 before becoming an Interlibrary Loan/Reference Librarian for a public library system in the Finger Lakes area. Beautiful Trumansburg, NY, about 12 miles northwest of Ithaca, has been my home with husband Ithaca College psychology professor Barney, since 1987.
Most regrettably, my children live much too far away; daughter Agatha teaches at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX and son Simon lives on the North Shore of Oahu, HI with my daughter-in-law Jenny and grandchildren - three-year old Evanita (Evie) and one-year old Julian. Simon works for a NY-based health services management and marketing services company and also scores documentary films. I retired in March 2016 to be able to spend time with my children and grandbabies as often and for as long as possible.
My path from my parent’s cocoon in the Bronx to 68th and Lexington then encountered some major potholes and unfamiliar terrain before I achieved the charmed life I now have. |
