Post Hunter I received my undergraduate BA and PhD in Geography at Clark University and went on to teach Urban Studies at Hampshire College for 40 years with interests in participatory planning, community development, social anarchism and the creative economy. While Dean of the School of Critical Social Inquiry and Director of the Community Engagement & Collaborative Learning Network, I promoted community-based learning for my students, working collaboratively with organizations in Holyoke, MA. My last book, Creative Economies in Post-Industrial Cities: Manufacturing a different Scene came out in 2013. Bill (my Hunter high school prom date) and I have two children, Jonathan and Molly, and two wonderful grandchildren, Sophia and Atticus. Molly went to Haverford and is a medical social worker in W. Massachusetts. Jonathan went to Brown and is the lead UI/UX designer and a feature developer for the Technology Enhanced Learning in Science (TELS) Program at UCBerkeley. Not surprisingly we travel from Northampton, MA to the West coast a lot!. two wonderful grandchildren, Sophia and Atticus. Molly went to Haverford and is a medical social worker in W. Massachusetts.
