After Hunter, I lived in New York, England, upstate New York, and now in Central New Jersey since 1978.  Along the way, I acquired one husband (Robert Webb), two daughters (Caroline and Laura) and one career (community college English Professor).  I’m still teaching, and here’s a scary thought, probably older than Miss Brubaker was when she taught me at Hunter.

My memories of Hunter are mixed—great friends, fun sneaking out at lunchtime through the subway entrance in Hunter College, writing editorials for What’s What.  For those of us who started in 7th grade, I think the education improved over the 6 years.  What were they thinking teaching us math in base 7?  And I’ll be happy never to meet another Mercator projection.  But I’m looking forward to meeting all of you again at our dinner on June 3.
