Once called the "little college by the sea," Dalhousie University – whose campuses (Carleton, Sexton and Studley) now stretch across the Halifax peninsula – is the research engine for Nova Scotia and home to over 2,500 graduate students in over 80 different programs. In today's rapidly changing world – to ensure that we provide the most appropriate programs and through these, the best possible education to our graduate students – we must look forward, plan strategically, anticipate the future. Whatever we call the exercise, it is important to keep in mind for whom we are doing it.
